Russian min says no plans to sell United Grain Company now

KURSK, Aug 22 (PRIME) -- The privatization of Russia’s United Grain Company (UGC) is not on the agenda at the moment, although the firm is included into the government’s privatization plan, Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev told reporters on Monday.

“It is in the privatization plan, but it is not the asset that we consider a priority,” he said.

The government owns 50% in the company, while the remaining shares are held by Ziyavudin Magomedov’s Summa Group.

UGC was established in 2009 to support domestic agricultural companies and develop infrastructure of the grain market. It is the government agent for holding interventions on the grain market.
